Miss Kandis
Kandis Bennion is the founder and business owner at Miss Kandis: Preschool & Tumbling. She started gymnastics when she was 6 years old and stuck with it all the way to college where she competed on full-ride scholarship for Brigham Young University from 2003-2006. Kandis specialized on the Balance Beam but the Floor exercise was always her favorite to perform.

Kandis has more than 20 years of coaching experience. She first began coaching at BYU at the Summer gymnastics camps. Before Kandis decided to start her own preschool and tumbling program, she was the Tumbling Director at Avondale Academy of the Arts in Cedar Hills, Utah for 2 years.  She graduated from BYU in 2007 with a Bachelors Degree in Communications and a Minor in Sociology. After graduating, she worked at BYU for 2 years as the Athletic Marketing Coordinator for Gymnastics, and Women's Volleyball.

Kandis has several years of experience in teaching children other than coaching and preschool. She has had various opportunities to teach children's classes at her church ranging in ages 18 months - 18 years. Kandis has more than 8 years experience teaching preschool and was a volunteer Cub Scout Cubmaster for 3 years. Kandis has also had the opportunity to coach three seasons of preschool aged soccer.

Kandis loves the summer season and enjoys spending time outdoors. You can find her either at the lake or in the mountains soaking up all that nature has to offer.

Miss Kara

Kara is a native of Arizona but mostly grew up in West Jordan, Utah. She and her husband and three children moved to Pleasant View in August, 2018. She grew up in a very artistic and musical family. She started piano lessons at the age of 8 years old and continued studying music until the age of 21! She graduated from Utah State University with a degree in Piano Pedagogy and Creative Writing. As a college student and later as a stay-at-home Mom, Kara ran her own piano studio for 15 years. She then spent a year starting and building a music program at GreenWood Charter School. Besides music, Kara loves to read, write, watch movies, organize, and spend time with her family. Her favorite candy is anything with dark chocolate and her favorite season is Summer! She loves to be active and enjoys exercising, walking, hiking, running, and paddle boarding. Kara is excited to be part of Miss Kandis’ team to bring music classes to the children in her community!

Miss Kristine

Hello! I am thrilled to spend some time this year on the tumbling mats with your toddlers! (And getting to know you parents as well!) I have 5 children of my own. My oldest son just recently started his mission in Argentina! I have a daughter at Weber High, a son at Orion Middle School, and two cute girls at Lomond View Elementary. I am originally from Salt Lake City, but have now lived in Pleasant View for 7 years. I graduated from the University of Utah in music and have been singing in choirs and teaching for 20 years. Currently I teach music two days a week at Lomond View Elementary and have the joy of being director of the Lomond View Choir. During the 10 years we lived outside of Utah, I greatly enjoyed teaching a variety of classes at the local YMCA. One of the classes I taught was a tumbling class for children! I love all outdoor adventures; mainly snow skiing and mountain biking. I also love a variety of sports and I am in my 4th year of being an assistant girls tennis coach at Weber High. I am blessed to have a wonderful 14 year old son with Down Syndrome named Ty! Over the many years I have grown to love children with special needs. I would love to give these kids more social opportunities and I am excited to start a new class for them! I love kids and am excited for this fun new opportunity!

Miss Alex

I've lived in Pleasant View with my husband since 2015, and we have 3 kiddos in our family. I studied Music Education/Vocal Performance at Utah State University, and minored in ASL. My husband is Deaf, so we feel very lucky to share our primary language with those in our community. We both have a lifelong dream of running a regenerative farm, and have worked hard to see that dream come true (slowly but surely). Time in nature, and a connection to our Earth, bodies, and our food is something we are deeply passionate about. I look forward to teaching all of your wonderful children in Nature Immersion and ASL!
